At 05:04 on Wednesday, 18 February, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Market Drayton.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

This incident was a farm vehicle on fire which spread to straw bales and an adjacent shed. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hosereel jets and a covering jet to extinguish the fire.
