At 19:46 on Monday, 18 November, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Wem.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • Hosereel jet
  • Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) , the Land Ambulance Service and a utility company.

One domestic garage fully involved in fire. Within the garage, the gas and electric metres were also involved in the fire so utility companies were requested. Crews requested an ambulance for one casualty suffering slight smoke inhalation and British Red Cross were mobilised as welfare to the family. Crews used two breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and a thermal image camera
