One adult male extricated by on site staff prior to arrival of fire service personnel, crew gave first aid until arrival of ambulance crew

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Tweedale and Wem. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Fire in kitchen area of pub. 8 Breathing Apparatus, 2 Hose Reel Jets and 2 Covering Jets. All persons accounted for. 1 male suffering smoke inhalation.

One male released by Fire Service from 4x4 vehicle using holmatro cutting equipment. Casualty left in care of ambulance service.

Fire involving the first floor of a residential dwelling. Fire extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hosereel jets. Assistance from over the border pumps from Leintwardine and Knighton.
