At 14:52 on Monday, 29 May, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving wheelie bin outside property. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

At 13:34 on Sunday, 28 May, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Whitchurch.

5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Hodnet, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury, Telford and Whitchurch. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

One barn measuring 80 m x 50m involved in fire. Crews using aerial ladder platform to assist with extinguishing the fire. Western Power also in attendance at incident.

Small fire deeply embedded in wood chippings of play park. Fire extinguished using 1 hosereel jet, shovels and spades. Area checked for hotspots using thermal imaging camera.
