At 12:02 on Monday, 26 April, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wellington .

10 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Hodnet, Market Drayton, Much Wenlock, Newport, Shrewsbury, Telford, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Large fire in container at recycling unit. Currently ten appliances plus the aerial ladder platform and pumping unit in attendance
