House Fire
Hopton Castle, Craven Arms

At 12:36 on Sunday, 9 June, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Hopton Castle, Craven Arms.
3 fire appliances were mobilised from Clun and Craven Arms.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
At 12:36 Fire Control received a call to a thatched roof fire at Hopton Castle, Craven Arms. Six pumps, the Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) and an ISU were mobilised. Approximately 40 firefighters were involved in tackling the fire which is not believed to be deliberate. Crews used 2 main jets, 2 hose reel jets and 4 breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) and the Land Ambulance Service .
Crews are dealing with incident involving a fully developed fire in kitchen. Fire has been extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 main jet.
