At 12:36 on Saturday, 28 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Hodnet.
1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- 9/10.5m ladder
- Hosereel jet
- Roof ladder
- Small gear
- Stirrup pump
- Thermal imaging camera
Crews used chimney rods and stirrup pump initially before using ladders and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. An ops officer was in attendance to monitor crew safety on the roof. A thermal imaging camera was used to identify and monitor hot spots within the chimney.

Fire in ground floor kitchen. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hosereel jets, 1 covering jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish.

4 fire appliances including the Environmental Protection Unit and the Prime Mover were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Tweedale.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency, the Police and Shropshire Council.
Fuel leak from vehicle. Fuel absorbed using environmental grab packs and environment pod utilised.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
- Thermal imaging camera
Domestic property fire in roof space. Crews wore breathing apparatus whilst using two hose reel jets and two covering jets to extinguish the fire. Crews emptied the loft and carried out salvage. A thermal imaging camera was also used to continue checking for hot spots.

A tumble dryer caught fire in the kitchen of the property. Crews used 6 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 1 covering jet and positive pressure ventilation. There were no casualties. Police were in attendance.

Fire in kitchen area of property which has been extinguished by crews using a hosereel jet whilst wearing breathing apparatus. Positive Pressure Ventilation used within property and utilities have been isolated by crews. Thermal Imaging Camera used to check for any further signs of heath smoke or fire.
