Report of a garden fire which had become out of control. Crews assisted the occupier by using a hose reel jet to dampen down the surrounding area.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire inside enclosed single story barn. Fire involved biomass boiler and one tonne of wood chippings.

This incident involved fire within the flue of chimney of a wood burning stove. Crews used chimney rods, 1 hosereel jet and thermal image camera to check for hotspots. Assistance also from HWFRS.

This was a fire involving the brakes on a light vehicle and extinguished prior to the arrival of the Fire Service. 1 hosereel jet was used by crews to cool the brakes before the vehicle was escorted to a place of safety and left in the care of the vehicle owner.
