At 06:40 on Tuesday, 28 May, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Ludlow.
2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
- Thermal imaging camera
Fire involving a derelict building measuring approximately 8 metres x 25 metres. Crews using four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish fire.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
This incident involved a chimney fire. Two appliances from Oswestry along with the Aerial Ladder Platform and one appliance from Shrewsbury were mobilised to the incident. Crews using chimney rods, small gear, three thermal imaging cameras and two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire. Police also in attendance to assist with road closure.
