At 15:28 on Monday, 18 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Bishops Castle.
1 fire appliance was mobilised from Bishops Castle.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Hosereel jet
- Thermal imaging camera
Report of a bonfire which became out of control. Crews extinguished the fire measuring approximately 10 meters by 15 meters using 2 hose reel jets. Any possible remaining hot spots were checked using a thermal imaging camera. Crews have continued to dampen the area to prevent further fire spread.

This incident involved an area of grass field approximately 35m x 35m which was extinguished by crews using two hosereel jets and one fogging unit to damp down hotspots. Crews also used one thermal imaging camera.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.
This incident involved one car and 60m2 of grass on fire. Crews used 2 hosereel jets, termal imagaing camera and one breathing apparatus. Shropshire Fire and Rescue were also assisted by North Wales Fire and Service Rescue. This incident has now been handed over to police.
