At 15:49 on Sunday, 10 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Llanymynech.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Report of explosion coming from container. On investigation crews confirmed this was caused by cable arching above the tree line due to heat. No further action required by fire service and incident handed to electricity company.

This incident was a false alarm. Thorough inspection of property carried out with thermal imaging camera.

At 11:33 on Saturday, 9 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Positive Pressure Ventilation
• Thermal imaging camera

Small fire involving food and oven which was out on arrival. Crews investigated and checked for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera. Crews also used Positive Pressure Ventilation to assist in ventilating the property.

Small fire located in server room. Crews extinguished using two CO2 extinguishers, one hosereel jet, one covering jet and a thermal imaging camera.

Fire involving pizza and pizza box in oven. This fire was out on arrival of crews. The contents of the oven has been removed to outside and dampened down with a hose. Further check of property carried out using a thermal imaging camera.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Fire in airing cupboard of domestic property. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet whilst wearing breathing apparatus.
