At 14:48 on Sunday, 15 September, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

8 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Hodnet, Minsterley, Newport, Prees, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Wem and Whitchurch. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving approximately 100 tonnes of hay, together with brick built farm building.
