At 1700 on Wednesday, 5 November, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Oswestry .

8 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Tweedale.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

6 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving one 5 bay barn approximately 15 x 40 metres severely damaged by fire, also 1 tractor, a ride on mower and a quantity of other farm machinery destroyed by fire. Farm vehicle being used to remove damaged bales from barn, crews damping down and turning over. One main jet and one hose reel jet in use.
