At 21:03 on Saturday, 20 May, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Petrol Station Fire in Shrewbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Small fire in rubbish bin under canopy extinguished by staff using dry powder extinguisher and buckets of water. 1 staff member received treatment for inhalation of dry powder by ambulance staff

Approximately 200 tyres alight in the open. Crews are using 2 main jets and the pumping unit to extinguish and damp down the fire
