This incident involved electric cables coming into contact with one another due to high winds. Cables remain intact and have not fallen to the ground. No action required by fire service and advice has been given to occupiers until National Grid have attended.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

One skip containing building materials and rubbish on fire. Crews extinguished the fire using one hosereel jet and then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hot spots.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

• Positive Pressure Ventilation

Reports of smell of gas within commercial premises. Crews ventilated the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan due to a strong smell of gas. Gas monitor reveled no gas present. Advice has been given to occupiers to recontact air conditioning engineer to investigate further.
