At 17:09 on Monday, 17 July, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire.

6 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury, Tweedale, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Crews were called to reports of a large outbuilding/barn on fire. Fire involved 2 outbuildings and several vehicles.
