At 15:13 on Wednesday, 5 July, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as SSC Urgent in Much wenlock.
4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Church Stretton, Much Wenlock and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.
Assit Ambulance- person reported fallen 20m from a 50m cliff - carried to safety by crews, now in safety of Air Ambulance

10 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit, the Rescue Tender and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Newport, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington. Operations, Fire Investigation and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Main jet

Incident involving one car on its side. Crews used holmatro, struts and tirfor winch to release driver from vehicle. Vehicle being made electrically safe prior to removal.

Crews were called to two large bullocks stuck in a slurry pit. The bullocks were safely rescued using farm tractor and strops, with veterinary supervision.

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Light Pumping Unit, the Rescue Tender, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Wellington. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.
This incident involved a barn building of brick and timber construction approx 25m x 25m. Crews used 6 breathing apparatus, 4 main jets and 2 hose reel jets to extinguish. The Aerial Ladder attended to reinspect the property.
